SB 14 Human Trafficking
Senator Shannon Grove has introduced Senate Bill 14, a bill that would include sex trafficking of a minor in the lists of crimes that are defined as serious under California law, making the crime a strike under the Three Strikes law. If passed, SB 14 will help strengthen protections for thousands of victims of sex trafficking.

International ‘Stop the War on Children’ Rally Draws Thousands
Thousands of people in dozens of U.S. and Canadian cities protested the sexualization of children, secret gender transitions of minors and pornographic books at schools, and other issues at dozens of events under the banner of Worldwide Stop the War on Children Rally over the weekend.
The rally was organized by the Mom Army and Gays Against Groomers with the backing of Our Duty and several other groups including parents, and teachers of all political stripes.

One misconception is that rescue or recovery is the only way to help victims, but raising awareness and knowledge is where we need warriors. You are the eyes and ears that can make a difference."

“I spent my life in counterterrorism. I worked at the highest level of the SEAL team counterterrorism realm,” said Craig Sawyer, Founder of Veterans for Child Rescue. “And I learned that children are being terrorized, traumatized here in the United States worse than anything that I was fighting to prevent elsewhere. And I founded Veterans for Child Rescue specifically to expose the covert domestic operation of child trafficking that is run inside the United States at industrial scale.”
Sawyer said Veterans for Child Rescue runs investigations throughout the year and runs joint operations with federal local law enforcement.

What does the Border and Human Trafficking have in Common? Senator Bob Hall

Slavery still exists in America. It exists in the form of human trafficking, a crime that is fueled by a flood of people coming across our open southern border. Many of the individuals that come across the border illegally are beholden to the cartels that brought them across, working as indentured servants often in perpetuity. Too many are brought across to be sex trafficked, many of these are minors. An estimate in 2016 stated that as many as one-fourth of humans trafficked across our southern border are minors forced into prostitution.
Craig founded Veterans For Child Rescue in 2017 to combat the sex trafficking of minors in the United States. His own daughter, at one time a victim herself of sex trafficking, volunteered to help him catch predators as bait. The David Johnson Show: Navy SEAL Veteran Craig "Sawman" Sawyer Reflects on The Chapters in Your Life
This week’s guest on The David Johnson Show is Navy SEAL veteran, Craig Sawyer, aka ‘Sawman’, who has transitioned from his Navy SEAL and counter-terrorism military career into working in television, the Internet, humanitarian non-profit work and mentoring young veterans on their post-military lives.
In the episode, Craig shares his story of how he started initially with the Marines but moved into the Navy SEALs in his early 20s. Craig served in the Gulf War (1990-1991), gaining combat experience in Desert Shield and Desert Storm as an Operator at SEAL Team One.
He was later promoted to the Naval Special Warfare Development Group or 'SEAL Team 6', a Counter-Terrorism unit administered by US Naval Special Warfare Command.
In the early 2000s Craig transitioned to a new role with the U.S. Air Marshal program and spent most of the ‘00s in Air Marshal service.
His military operations skills helped him get chosen to lead a military commando team in Africa to halt rhino poachers. This started his work in TV production, movies, acting, voiceover work and more in the past decade on networks like Animal Planet, the Military Channel and The History Channel.
In recent years, Craig’s humanitarian efforts have manifested in his work to combat child trafficking through his non-profit Vets 4 Child Rescue.

His daughter was assaulted by a child predator and became a statistic in the $150 Billion human trafficking problem. Human trafficking of children is happening here in the US, by US citizens. Each predator averages 70 victims. Sawman found a new enemy.
Sawyer followed his daughter's lead when she said, she wanted to get people like that off the street. Craig founded Veterans for Child Rescue with the charter of education, arresting child predators and protecting our children.

For Sawyer and his crew the journey is just beginning. He doesn't have any plans to stop his mission now that the documentary "Contraland" is complete.
"As painful as it is to face this, it would be unthinkable to turn away, for me. I hope more people take that attitude so that we together collectively face this down and put an end to it," Sawyer said.

Our first guest, Craig R. "Sawman" Sawyer is a Marine veteran, former Navy SEAL, sniper, combat instructor. Sawyer is the owner of Tactical Insider, which brings technical advice on weapons and combat to Hollywood films and actors. Sawyer began his military career with the U.S. Marine Corps in 1981 but switched to the U.S. Navy in 1986 to pursue a career in special operations as a Navy SEAL. He graduated from the Basic Underwater Demolition (BUD)/Sea, Air, Land (SEAL) training class 149 and served in SEAL Team ONE. Sawyer deployed during Gulf War and subsequently served as sniper instructor. He then went on to serve with the elite Naval Special Warfare Development Group until leaving the Navy in 1999. Sawyer founded Vets For Child Rescue (V4CR) in April 2017 to help create a non-permissive environment for child trafficking in the United States and began production on a documentary feature-length film to highlight the challenges and efforts of law enforcement and veterans in the fight to end the exploitation of children.
