Over 80 Victims Rescued & Almost 500 Arrested During Super Bowl Human Trafficking Op

Let’s talk about why the media doesn’t want people to think human trafficking is an issue!

First, let’s address some undeniable facts:

FACT: Human trafficking is the fastest-growing, and 2nd-largest criminal enterprise in the world.

FACT: The USA is one of the main origins and destinations.

FACT: It’s estimated* to be a $38-50 BILLION dollar a YEAR industry in the USA alone.

* No one knows the real numbers, because most of it is unreported.

FACT: Human trafficking happens all the time, in every community.

FACT: Although it can happen to anyone from any walk of life, gender, or age, a significant percentage of trafficking victims are children.

FACT: Large events - like the Super Bowl - increase the demand, and therefore the supply.

FACT: Southern California has always been a hotspot. Its proximity to the border, as well as its popular entertainment industry makes it a prime location.

FACT: If more people knew what to look for and how to safely intervene and report human trafficking, more victims could be rescued and even prevented from harm.

With all that said - do these headlines strike you as factual and appropriate?

Now, let’s ask ourselves some important questions:

Why do they want us to believe it isn't happening, or isn't a threat?

Why would anyone not want people to be aware and on the lookout for children being harmed?

Even if it was only happening to a few children (which is a wild underestimation) … why would anyone deter anyone from taking it seriously?!

Why are they making an effort to intentionally suppress and discredit the truth?

Does ignoring the problem reduce the predator’s ability to operate?

Does it help children?

Who does it help?

What will you do about it?

“74 Adults & 8 Children Were Rescued” in the LA Area During Super Bowl Weekend

Is This Not Worth Taking Seriously?!

How much more of a difference could we the people make if we stood together and said “no more!”?

How much harder would it be for predators to operate?

MAKING A DIFFERENCE: VETS FOR CHILD RESCUE + UNTRAFFICKED

Thank You to Our Allies at UNTRAFFICKED.org⁣ for Taking Action!

Our joint operation used a technique called "geo-fencing" that targeted all communication devices within a 10-mile radius of the Super Bowl with intel on what to look for and how to safely intervene and report child trafficking.

What To Do If You See Child Trafficking

Observe

  • Remain calm. Do not draw attention to yourself.
  • Observe the situation and look for these signs of child trafficking.

If you’re unsure, and the situation seems safe, engage in small talk and observe the child’s reaction.

  • Are they responsive and coherent?
  • Do they answer questions for themselves or do they seem scripted, forced, or suppressed by an overly controlling adult?
  • Do they seem overly nervous or anxious?
  • Does the adult quickly whisk them away when you address them? Is the child’s body language signaling for help?
  • Does the child seem at risk?

Report

Move to a safe distance. Ensure you have the details to report.

  • Call 911 or contact your local law enforcement agency.
  • If you are in a place with security or a customer service center, inform them and ask them to contact 911.
  • If you do not believe they have NOT acted, contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline (888) 373-7888 - or by texting BeFree to 233733.
  • Contact Homeland Security Investigations at: 866-347-2423
  • Submit a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at Report.cybertip.org or call 1-800-843-5678.
  • Submit a tip to the FBI at 1-800- 225-5324. FBI Sex Offender Registry: FBI.gov/scams-and-safety/sex-offender-registry
  • National Sex Offender Public Website: NSOPW.gov
  • National Registered Sex Offenders Laws: RegisteredOffendersList.org

Be able to describe in detail:

  1. Who you saw (description of child/trafficker),
  2. What you saw (description of vehicle, license plate, make/model of car, building, social media account, etc),
  3. When you saw it (day/time)
  4. Where did it occur
  5. Why it’s suspicious

You may be routed to an agency that specializes in kidnapping and human trafficking. The most important thing you can do is get the data right.

You have the right to request to remain anonymous in the reporting process.

Contact us if further assistance is needed.

Use Your Best Judgment

Resist the urge to personally act.

Human traffickers are some of the most ruthless individuals on the criminal spectrum. They can best be defeated with intel and accurate reporting.
